I. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance:
Chairman Goldman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

II. Approval of Minutes: Meeting, Monday, July 19, 2010
The Committee decided not to vote to approve the minutes of the July 19, 2010 meeting because the Clerk Ray Jarvis was not in attendance.

III. End of Year School Budget Review:
A detailed financial executive summary report for the Rye School District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 was provided to the Budget Committee. The report provided a summary of the financial condition of the district from an appropriations, expenditure and revenue collection standpoint for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.

The net result of the report shows that the Rye School District ended the year with 1.22% of their expense budget remaining. Under New Hampshire state law, the School Board cannot exceed the total appropriations that have been approved on the warrant by the residents of the community. We have therefore complied financially with the state for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.

In addition, there is a small cash unreserved fund balance that will be refunded to the town and equates to a small tax savings that will not have to be raised.

Details of this report were presented by Jim Katkin with further supporting explanation by Mike Schwartz. The school board and the budget committee are satisfied with the results of the Rye School Districts financial performance during the past fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.

Further discussion was centered around this year’s financial performance, which started on July 1, 2010 but with only two months completed, there was nothing significant to discuss.

IV. Other Business:
No other business discussed

V. Adjournment
There being no other business, Chairman Goldman adjourned the meeting at 8:26.p.m.
Notes taken by Member Ned Paul
