The State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services issued sewer connection moratorium to the Town of Hampton and Rye based on capacity concerns at Hampton's Waste Water Treatment Plant in August of 2010. This moratorium has been lifted as of March 1, 2011. For more information contact the Building Inspection/Code Enforcement Department at 964-9800 and/or Sewer Department at 964-6815.
