Incorporated in 2004, Rye Senior SERVE is a non-profit organization of Rye residents who volunteer to assist Rye's senior residents in a variety of ways. SERVE volunteers drive senior residents to medical and other important appointments.
The SERVE van provides rides on Tuesday mornings to Portsmouth for grocery shopping at Market Basket supermarket and errands at Rite-Aid pharmacy, TD Banknorth and Hallmark Card Shop. The 2nd and 4th Monday, Rye Senior SERVE personnel drive senior residents in the SERVE van for Senior Trivia at the library
A daily wellness call from a SERVE volunteer is available for those who live alone and would like this service. See our brochure at this site for further information about these and other SERVE programs.
Rye Senior SERVE is a not for profit organization that meets once a month. The SERVE Board of Directors meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm. The public is invited to attend all meetings. New volunteers are always welcome. For more information, please contact the Rye Public Library.
